Learn how to recruit Noire in Fire Emblem: Awakening's Sidequest 15, 'A Shot from the Dark.' Get strategies for dealing with flying units and the boss, Ezra.
Walkthrough
- 1You'll start this map with your main army. Your objective is to recruit Noire, an Archer who joins you on Turn 2. She's located in a walled-off area to the north, which is also swarming with flying units.
- 2The key to this map is speed. Noire is strong against flying units, but there are quite a few of them, and she can't handle them all alone for long. You need to get to her before she's in too much danger.
- 3Strategy 1: North Flank: Send a dedicated group of units north. Their job is to draw the attention of the flying units surrounding Noire. This creates an opening for your other units to reach her safely.
- 4Strategy 2: West Flank: Simultaneously, you can send a separate, strong group west. This force will engage the swarm of Bow Knights, more flying units, and the map's boss, Ezra (a Bow Knight himself). This splits their attention and prevents them from focusing solely on Noire.
- 5Once Noire joins your command on Turn 2, you have a couple of options for her. She can immediately start attacking the flying units that are trying to get around the wall to reach her. Alternatively, you can have her move east and then south to link up with your approaching army. Be cautious if you choose the latter, as flying units might intercept her.
- 6Warning: You have about until Turn 4 before Noire can no longer escape the Griffon Rider if she stays in her starting position. Use your flying units to quickly reach the entrance to her area and provide cover.
