Once upon a time, dragons and humans lived together peacefully for many generations. But mankind disrupted this balance with a sudden war called The Scouring, which led to the dragons vanishing from the realm. A thousand years have passed since then, and humanity has rebuilt and spread across the land and islands.

This is the tale told on the Main Title Screen. While Fire Emblem might seem like a typical RPG at first glance, it offers much more.

It's important to know that the game is split into two main parts: Lyn Mode and Eliwood Mode. Lyn Mode serves as an introduction, starring Lyn, a young woman seeking revenge who uncovers her past. Eliwood Mode then expands the scope to world-changing events, focusing on the more prominent figure, Eliwood.

The story begins when the player awakens to the sight of a beautiful girl...
