Master Chapter Three of Fire Emblem Heroes! Learn how to recruit Wil, utilize Florina, and defeat Migal and his brigands with this expert walkthrough.

Alright, welcome to Chapter Three, the 'Band of Mercenaries'! This is where things start to get a little more interesting. Our main goal here is pretty straightforward: defeat all the enemies on the map. Don't worry, we've got some new recruits joining us, and I'll walk you through exactly how to use them to your advantage.

New Recruits:

  • Florina: She'll join you automatically right at the start. She's our first Pegasus Knight, which means she can fly over terrain and enemies!
  • Wil: This is our first dedicated bowman. To get him, you'll need to visit the village located in the south-western part of the map.

Enemies on the Field:

  • 2 Archers (Level 1) with Iron Bows
  • 1 Brigand (Level 1) with an Iron Axe
  • 2 Brigands (Level 2) with Iron Axes
  • 3 Mercenaries (Level 1) with Iron Swords

Boss: Migal, a Level 6 Brigand. He's got a Steel Axe and hits pretty hard, so keep an eye on him. His dialogue is pretty menacing: "Begging for your life so soon, wench?"

Turn Count Goal: Aim to finish this map within 6 turns.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Right off the bat, the tutorial will have Lyn head to the village. This is how you recruit Wil, your first archer. After that, Wil can take a shot at the mercenary near the wall, and Florina can swoop in to finish him off. The tutorial officially ends here, so now it's up to us!
  2. 2
Your cavalier duo, Kent and Sain, are key here. Send Kent to engage the archer near you with his Iron Lance, and have Sain charge as far east as he can with his Iron Sword.
  3. 3
As the enemies start to advance, it's time to use Florina's flying ability. Send her to visit the village in the north-west. Once she's done, fly her back as far south as possible to keep her safe.
  4. 4
Meanwhile, send Lyn, equipped with her Mani Katti, east a good distance. Get Wil as far east as he can go too.
  5. 5
Now, let's lure out that archer again. Kent can double-team him with his Iron Lance (Sain can also help here if needed). Sain should then focus on attacking the brigand right next to him with his sword.
  6. 6
Keep Florina moving east and south, away from the main fight for now. Wil can start picking off the brigand across the wall. Sain can finish off the mercenary near him, and Kent can take on the brigand close by. Lyn should position herself near Kent and Sain.
  7. 7
Continue using the cavalier duo to deal with the remaining brigands. See if Wil can land the finishing blow on a weakened brigand; if not, have Lyn back him up. Florina can hang back, flying closer to the boss's general area but staying out of danger.
  8. 8
For the final enemy, Kent is a good choice to finish them off. Then, send Sain in to attack the boss, Migal. Bring Florina closer too, while Lyn and Wil can hang back a bit.
  9. 9
To finish off Migal, you can use whoever you like, but try to utilize Wil and Florina. If he's down to about 5 HP, even Florina can land the killing blow.
Tips
  • Don't forget Wil is your first archer! He's great for picking off enemies from a distance, especially those pesky fliers or enemies behind walls.
  • Florina's flying ability is crucial for reaching objectives like villages quickly and safely. Use her mobility to your advantage.
  • Keep your units spread out a bit initially to avoid getting overwhelmed, but group them up when you're ready to take down enemies.
  • Pay attention to enemy ranges. You don't want to accidentally move a vulnerable unit into an enemy's attack range.
