Hey there! So you're diving into Gears of War 3 and want to snag all those hidden goodies, huh? This guide is gonna walk you through finding every single collectible scattered throughout the game. We'll break it down chapter by chapter, so you won't miss a thing. Let's get started!
Walkthrough
- 1Prologue: As soon as you start in the cell, look for a door to your right. It's another cell, and inside you'll find your first collectible. After that, head through the door at the end of the hall and outside. You'll have to deal with some Grubs, so find cover and take 'em out.
- 2Act 1, Chapter 1: Anchored: When you wake up, check the desk near your cot for a collectible paper. Head into the hallway, follow the lady who mentions Dom, and in the room to your left, hug the left wall. Just past the cots, there's a collectible on a dinner tray. Back in the hall, the next door on the right is open, and another one after that. Jack has a collectible on the table in front of him. Continue down the hall, go up the stairs, then up another flight. After a couple of rights, you'll meet Anya. Follow the objective marker to see Nash get attacked. Clear out the polyps, then head upstairs.
- 3Act 1, Chapter 1 (Continued): At the top of the stairs, you'll face the Drudge. Just shoot him in his glowing belly for now. Head left, shoot the Drudge by the edge, and then go up the stairs to your right to activate the dock lift. After the cutscene with Prescott, you'll head through the gardens. Be careful crossing the deck, as the Lambent can be tough, especially when they start shooting. Use cover and aim for their glowing parts. Once they're cleared (a Raven will help), go to the back left corner of the deck. Look up at the catwalk above; you'll see a dead Gear. Shoot the body to make him drop his tags – that's another collectible! Now, head for the stairs up to the catwalk on the right, and go through the door at the end. After the cutscene, turn around and head back the way you came. Before going down the stairs, use your height advantage to clear out any Lambent below. Back on the deck, head towards the lifts, clearing enemies as you go. Once the area is clear, a COG will raise the lift for you. Use it to cross to the other side of the deck. You'll end up back where you first met the Drudge. Go back down the stairs to where Nash met his end. Pick up the extinguisher and put out the fire – aim a little higher than you think you need to. You'll encounter more Lambent in the next hall; hang back and take them out. At the end of the hall, turn right to save Prescott.
- 4Act 1, Chapter 2: Abandon Ship: Head straight down the hall and take a left at the end. Tip over a table for cover and take out the Lambent from there. At the end of this area, go right, talk to the people moving the vending machine, and go through the door on the left. The next room is pretty open with a lot of Lambent ahead. Find cover and try to pick off a few, but also keep an eye on the catwalk above and to the right. The left side of the room is a safer bet and gives you a good angle for flanking. Take out the Drudge and the other Grubs, then drop down. Follow the path to the first Deck lift. The Raven pilot will tell you to raise the lift, and soon after, you'll be attacked by glowing enemies from the right. They have a height advantage, so try to get up the stairs quickly to find cover. Once they're dealt with, go past the door they came from and up the stairs to the catwalk. Follow it to the control room to raise the lift. Exit the control room and go down the stairs to your right. Shortly after talking to the next Raven pilot, their chopper gets destroyed, and you'll have to...
