Your friendly guide to Gears of War 3's Homecoming chapter. We'll help you navigate Hanover, find supplies, and face off against the Stranded and the terrifying Lambent.

Alright, so you've landed in Hanover with Cole and his squad. Your mission here in the 'Homecoming' chapter is to grab some much-needed supplies. Keep your eyes peeled as you approach a ruined Stranded outpost – there are usually some handy weapons like a Boltok Pistol and a Hammerburst II lying around. Follow the path, and you'll see some Stranded corpses; check them for more gear. When you get near an intact outpost, a Stranded will spot you, but don't worry, he'll let you pass. Things get hairy when you reach the park area. There are more supplies to find on the corpses and a funny hat in a pickup truck if you want to accessorize. But watch out! The Lambent show up, and you'll meet the Drudge for the first time. You'll be fighting off waves of Lambent Drones and some Drudges, so be ready. After you clear them out, you'll find more Stranded corpses and can grab more weapons. Keep pushing forward to the supermarket. More Lambent will attack as you approach the supermarket, including some Drones with Lancers. Clear them out and head inside. Inside, you'll see Polyps on the ceiling, and they'll start attacking. Take them down, and you'll eventually hit a dead end with a collapsed locker. You'll need to use a Mechanical Loader to move it. Behind the locker is a huge food supply. Use the loader again to break open a bay door, and prepare for another Lambent assault. Once you've dealt with them, use the loader to push a car and a van to drop the food supplies. A King Raven will pick them up, and after a cutscene, you'll be on your way to the next chapter. Collectibles in Homecoming: * Hat: You can find this early on. It'll stick with you for three chapters, so wear it with pride! * Journal: After Sam talks about her and Baird, look left for a sign that says 'Home of the best breakfast in town.' Kick in the two metal doors, and it'll be near a dead body straight ahead. * Child's Diary: In the playground where the Lambent stalk pops out of the ground, check the right side. It's in the jungle gym with the slide. * Grocery List: Inside the grocery store, head to the far right to the checkout registers. It's on the last one closest to the shelf. * Recovered Cog Tags #3: In the back room after you move the locker with the Mechanical Loader. It's on a desk in the same room where you find the food crate. Completing this chapter unlocks the 'We Struck Gold, Son!' achievement. Good job!
