Navigate the streets of Liberty City with ease. This guide details all controls for Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars on NDS and PSP, including vehicle and on-foot commands.

This section of the guide covers the various controls and interface elements for Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, detailing how to navigate the game world and interact with its systems on both the Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable versions.

On-Foot Controls

General Movement: Use the D-Pad or Analog Nub (3DS/2DS) for movement. The Analog Stick is used on PSP. Pressing Down on the D-Pad (or Analog Nub) honks the horn or activates sirens. Holding Down allows you to sprint, but will cause fatigue; infinite sprint is unlocked by achieving a Gold Medal in the Ambulance Mission.

Interacting with the World: Near a Taxi, hold the designated button to hail it. The 'Start' button (or tapping the Radar on DS) pauses the game and accesses the Game Menu, also used to skip cutscenes. The 'Select' button (or PSP's Select Button) starts Dumpster exploration and side-missions, or cancels them.
