Conquer all five Street Races in Grand Theft Auto VI! Learn the best routes, car tips, and 100% completion strategies for every race, from Strawberry to the Freeway.

Hey there! So, we're diving into some races with Franklin, and this one's a bit special. It's called 'Shift Work' and it's with Hao, who's all about that street racing life. You'll need to play with Chop a bit earlier for 100% completion, but this race is a key part of that too, falling under 'Miscellaneous'. Just play fetch with Chop for a bit to tick that box.

For this race, you might wanna get a fast car or soup up your Buffalo with the best mods you can find. Don't stress too much about getting a Gold Medal here; this mission counts towards the 'Multi-Disciplined' Accomplishment even if you don't nail the gold.

The Plan:

This race is only available between 8 PM and 5 AM, so keep that in mind. Head over to the marker near Franklin's place. It's a two-lap checkpoint race against five other cars, winding through Strawberry, Rancho, and Davis. Honestly, it's a pretty straightforward course and the competition isn't too fierce. You should be able to grab first place pretty quickly with the right ride. Once you're in the lead, just take it easy and try not to smash into anything. The traffic isn't too bad, which helps a lot. Finish in first, and you're golden!

100% Score:

• Fastest Lap: You need to clock a lap in under 1 minute 20 seconds. If you're a decent driver, this is totally doable, no matter your car.
• Underdog: Finish the race in less than 2 minutes 50 seconds. Again, pretty easy with a good car and smooth driving.
• Clean Race: This is the trickiest one – finish with fewer than five collisions. You'll be jostling for position at the start, so try to keep your distance and pass cleanly. If you can get into first place without any bumps, you can drive more carefully and avoid other potential crashes.

After that race, more Street Races will start popping up, beginning with one in Downtown Vinewood. There are five in total, and yep, they're required for that 100% completion. You'll see them on your map as a car icon with a checkered flag. Just like the first race, they're only available between 8 PM and 5 AM.

Each race has an entry fee, but the winnings are way more. Winning also nets you a Gold Medal. Once you finish a race successfully, you'll see a checkmark next to it.

Hao will send you texts for the last four races at different points in the story, depending on how quickly you progress. We're grouping them all here:

• Downtown Vinewood
  • Entry Fee: $500
  • Winnings: $2,250
  • Notes: This is a long course, but it's easy to take the lead early. Once you're ahead, just focus on the track and avoid collisions. Pretty simple overall.
• Airport
  • Entry Fee: $1,000
  • Winnings: $4,500
  • Notes: This two-lap race covers the Airport, Maze Bank Arena, and Grove St. areas. Be careful going up the onramp for the Arena at the start – you could take the wrong ramp or hit the median. Also, watch out for the railroad tracks before Grove St.; those gate posts are solid and will stop you dead. The rest of the course is smooth sailing.
• Freeway
  • Entry Fee: $1,250
  • Winnings: $5,625
  • Notes: This two-lap race uses the freeway loops on the Olympic Fwy. It's tougher than the others. Getting into first place is tricky with the off-ramps. The down ramps can send you airborne, causing you to lose control and fly off the course, so slow down a bit. Another tough spot is the center where you cut across the freeway – this is especially problematic if you're still fighting for position.
