Learn about the wrestling careers of Mil Mascaras, Mr. Fuji, "Mr. USA" Tony Atlas, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, The Nasty Boys, Nikolai Volkoff, One Man Gang, and Owen Hart in League of Legends Part 9.

Mil Mascaras

Known as "The Man of One Thousand Masks," Mil Mascaras began his wrestling career in 1964 and wrestled for over 30 years. He held several world championships and tag team title belts, feuding with "Superstar" Billy Graham and Harley Race. He also became a significant box-office star in Mexico during the 1960s, appearing in over 30 movies. He held his last title until 1994 and officially retired, though he still makes wrestling appearances, including in the 1997 Royal Rumble.

Mr. Fuji

Mr. Fuji is remembered as a highly disliked manager in the WWF, but he also had an extensive wrestling background. He started his career in 1972, partnered with Toru Tanaka, and joined the WWWF. On June 27, 1972, they defeated Chief Jay Strongbow and Sonny King to become WWWF Tag Team Champions, holding the titles for 15 months. After Tanaka left, Fuji partnered with Mr. Saito, and they won the WWWF Tag Team Championship again in the early 1980s. When Vince McMahon took over the WWF, Fuji became a manager, overseeing wrestlers like Demolition and the Orient Express, and notably guiding Yokozuna to the WWF Championship. After Yokozuna lost to Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania IX, Fuji departed to spend more time with his family. He now runs a wrestling school in Knoxville, TN.

"Mr. USA" Tony Atlas

Tony Atlas began his wrestling career in 1975 with the NWA in their Georgia territory. He won the NWA Georgia Tag Team titles with Mr. Wrestling #2, then Kevin Sullivan, and again in 1980 with Tommy Rich. He gained the "Mr. USA" moniker while winning numerous power-lifting championships, including Mr. Georgia, Mr. USA, and the New York Power Lifting Championship in 1981. He is one of the few wrestlers to have cleanly pinned Hulk Hogan. His career highlight was in 1983 when he and Rocky Johnson won the WWF Tag Team titles from the Samoans. He left the WWF shortly after losing the titles and competed in hardcore matches in Caribbean wrestling leagues. Atlas briefly returned to the WWF in the 1990s and currently wrestles in northeast independent promotions.

"Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff

"Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff had a long and notable wrestling career, winning his first title in 1978. He teamed with Jimmy Snuka to win tag team gold from Greg Valentine and Baron von Raschke. With "Rowdy" Roddy Piper as his manager and "Cowboy" Bob Orton in his corner, he feuded with top names like Piper, Hulk Hogan, and Tito Santana. He later moved to WCW in the early 1990s, where he captured the World TV Title. "Mr. Wonderful" has since retired from wrestling and is considered a legend.

The Nasty Boys: Brian Nobbs and Jerry Saggs

The Nasty Boys were recognized for their unconventional style and aggressive attitude. They debuted in the WWF under Jimmy Hart's management and won the WWF Tag Team titles at Wrestlemania VII with his assistance. Approximately a year later, they left Hart and engaged in feuds with the Beverly Brothers and Money Inc. They consistently contended for tag titles in every federation they joined. Today, they continue to wrestle with their signature brawling style.

Nikolai Volkoff

Nikolai Volkoff began wrestling in the USSR in 1968 and came to the US in 1970, joining the WWWF. Managed by Captain Lou Albano and partnered with Gito Mongol, he won the WWWF Tag Team titles from Victor Rivera and Tony Marino. After losing the titles, Volkoff pursued singles competition. He considers his 1974 match at Madison Square Garden against Bruno Sammartino, which sold out the venue, to be the most memorable of his career. Volkoff frequently received title opportunities from WWWF Champions. He left and later returned to the new WWF, teaming with the Iron Sheik. They won the WWF Tag Team Championship from Mike Rotundo and Barry Wyndham at Wrestlemania I, recapturing titles he had held 15 years prior. He eventually quit the WWF shortly after 1995.

One Man Gang

The One Man Gang began wrestling at age 16, with his first significant break as Crusher Broomfield in the ICW. He earned the name One Man Gang in a Mid-South promotion run by Jim Ross. He joined the WWF in the 1980s, frequently competing in main events against top WWF Superstars like Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage. The WWF later renamed him The African Dream Akeem, partnered him with the Big Bossman, and managed by Slick, forming the team known as the Twin Towers. He moved to WCW in 1995, winning the US Championship. He found his true wrestling identity in ECW. One of his most notable matches was against Abdullah the Butcher, where both participants narrowly survived. He continues to tour with independent promotions.
