Learn how to upgrade your Exosuit in No Man's Sky. Discover where to find Exosuit upgrades, blueprints, and inventory slots on the Space Anomaly and at space stations.
The Exosuit, Starship, and Multi-Tool are essential for exploration in No Man's Sky. Unlike the Starship and Multi-Tool, the Exosuit cannot be replaced; instead, you'll focus on increasing its inventory slots and improving its technology components. Both the Exosuit and Starship have three main inventory compartments: General, Technology, and Cargo. While new technologies can be installed in either General or Technology slots, Cargo slots are reserved for items. All Multi-Tool technologies are installed in its General inventory.
The default Exosuit comes with three vital components: Life Support (for oxygen and Jetpack power), Hazard Protection (for extreme environments), and the Jetpack (for enhanced mobility). You can find upgrades for these and new components that improve movement speed, defensive capabilities, and hazard resistance against heat, radiation, and toxic environments. Other useful upgrades include translators for understanding alien languages, the Personal Refiner for on-the-go material refinement, and the Haz-Mat Gauntlet for harvesting dangerous flora.
Exosuit upgrades and blueprints can be acquired from Exosuit Research merchants at any space station or from Iteration: Selene on the Space Anomaly. Purchasing upgrades from merchants allows immediate installation, while blueprints require crafting with materials. Both methods cost Nanites, with blueprint costs typically around 250 Nanites and merchant prices ranging from 70 to 600 Nanites depending on the tier. Forbidden or suspicious upgrade modules can also be found from sentinel fights or black market hubs. Exosuit Inventory slots can be purchased next to Iteration: Selene on the Anomaly.
