Master Phasmophobia's basic controls and navigate the user interface effectively to enhance your ghost hunting experience.
Understanding the controls and UI is fundamental to survival. The default controls are standard for most first-person games: W, A, S, D for movement, Shift to sprint, Ctrl to crouch, E to interact, F to turn on/off held items, Right-click to use item's secondary function (e.g., turn on flashlight, place camera), G to drop item, Q to cycle through inventory, T to toggle local push-to-talk, and V for global push-to-talk (walkie-talkie). The UI displays your sanity, current objectives, and inventory slots. Pay close attention to the sanity meter; low sanity increases ghost activity and hunt frequency. The journal is your most important tool, accessible via J, where you'll record evidence and identify the ghost type.
