    Begin at the Abbey of the Fallen Moon. Bring Maneha with you for her companion quest.

    Speak to Long Bosc near the starting point for general information.

    Head up the path to the left and lie to the first monk, claiming you are the Tidebringer. You will need Resolve 14, Perception 13, or Lore 6 to convince him. He will then state that High Abbot Kaoto is expecting you.

    Go up the stairs to the left, then up another set of stairs to reach the Passages of Ondra. Observe the panels: "Anthu: The End", "Saman: The Flood", "Disaman: The Ebb", and "Dianthu: The Beginning".

    Continue southeast down some steps to the main entrance of the Halls of Presence. To the right of the door, search a locked (level 3) chest for the Grimoire of the Tides and minor loot. If you missed _Ninagauth's Black Pages_, this grimoire allows you to learn Ninagauth's Shadowflame.

    Enter the Halls of Presence. Head north into the Chamber of the Fallen Moon and speak to Giftbearer Beasca by the pool. Press her about the gem she threw in the pool and note her words: "All that belongs to Ondra is forgotten, and all things forgotten belong to Ondra".

    Continue to the Hall of the Tidal Wave and find High Abbot Kaoto. Do not correct him about being the Tidebringer. Avoid the topic of the recitation for now. Kaoto will give you a Steel-banded Key and suggest places to visit.

    Ignore the exit to the Halls of Silence and go through a door on the right to the Library. Search the bookshelf at the top and read The Giftbearer's Pilgrimage to update your quest.

    Leave the library and follow the passage back to the entrance. Continue west to a complex of tunnels. The exit leads to the abbey ramparts, near the Passages of Ondra. You can also explore the monks' living quarters.

    Return to Kaoto in the Hall of the Tidal Wave and indicate you are ready for the recitation. Select the following responses:
    • "I am Disaman, the Ebb..." : "I am Saman, the Flood"

    Enter the Pool of the Anointed. Stay in scouting mode to avoid agitating the monks. Go through the passageway on the right into an ice cave.

    Interact with the body of Arthek to relive his last moments. Search his remains for Arthek's Cord. Search another nearby body for minor loot.

    At the end of the cavern, you can find an exit to the abbey exterior or an alternative entrance. You may also find Moon Spiders and bodies with minor loot.

    Return to the Pool of the Anointed. Leave most of your party near the ice cave entrance. Have your stealthiest party member activate the lever that opens the passageway opposite, then return to the rest of the party. The insane monks will then attack.
