- 1Increase Compatibility: Characters can build compatibility (Link) with Pokémon by visiting outlets in castle towns or fighting wild Pokémon.
- 2Tame Wild Pokémon: During battles with wild Pokémon, a mini-game sequence allows for taming. Successfully taming can lead to multiple Links or the option to switch Pokémon.
