Kingdoms of Ransei Lore

Delve into the rich lore of Pokémon Conquest, exploring the warring land of Ransei, its mystical castles, and the legendary Pokémon that awaits.

The land of Ransei is embroiled in conflict, reminiscent of Japan's Warring States period. In this world, seventeen countries are governed by mystical castles, and the protagonist's goal is to conquer them all to unite the land. Success in this endeavor is said to summon a legendary Pokémon.

Gameplay involves two main phases: unification and battle. During unification, players manage their territory on a map of Japan, planning troop movements and character actions, with each character limited to one action per turn, representing one month. Up to six characters can be stationed in a castle, and larger armies can be managed by AI.

Characters can increase their compatibility, or "Link," with Pokémon by visiting castle towns or battling wild Pokémon. Taming wild Pokémon during battle allows characters to switch or obtain multiple Links. Compatibility is indicated by bronze, silver, or gold medals, with an 'X' signifying no possible Link. Each character also has a "Best Link Pokémon" that can achieve 100% linkage.

Pokémon evolution is present, with some Pokémon requiring Evolutionary Stones, similar to other titles in the franchise.
