Chapter 7: Terrera - The Grounded Empire

The game is set in Ransei, a land resembling feudal Japan, divided into seventeen countries ruled by mystical castles.

The main objective is to conquer all castles and unite the country under the protagonist's rule.

Gameplay involves two phases: unification and battle.

In the unification phase, players manage their territory on a map of Japan, planning troop movements and character actions. Each character has one action per turn, representing one month. A maximum of six characters can be stationed in a castle. AI can manage armies in conquered castles, but the protagonist always requires manual control.

Characters build compatibility, or 'Link', with Pokémon by visiting castle towns or fighting wild Pokémon. Taming wild Pokémon allows for multiple Links or switching Pokémon. Link compatibility is shown with bronze, silver, or gold medals; 'X' means no Link is possible. Each character has a 'Best Link Pokémon' for 100% linkage.

Pokémon evolve, and Evolutionary Stones function similarly to the main series. Characters can also change appearance based on their Link percentage with their Pokémon. The protagonist has three forms based on strength, and Warlords have evolved forms.

Battles occur on specialized battlefields on a 2D grid. Up to six generals/Pokémon can fight per side.

'Warrior Skills' are special abilities usable once per battle to aid Pokémon. Equipment can also provide assistance.

Pokémon elemental types and weaknesses from the main series apply. Special abilities can create advantages, and group attacks require careful planning.

A Pokémon's performance is affected by its Energy level, indicated by colored arrows. Low energy can be restored by resting or eating _ponigiri_.
