Get a ride with Rhino Squad's convoy in Quake IV. Follow Corporal Pitman's advice, hop in the truck, and survive the journey through tunnels and ambushes.
Alright, so you've just finished up in the locker room. That door you came in through? Yeah, it's locked now, which is a little creepy, but whatever. Head out the *other* door and look for the sign that says "D.4 Walker Hangar." Go on in there.
Inside, you'll run into General Harper again. He'll let you know your ride is ready. Weird place for him to be, right? Anyway, find the lift in the hangar and step on it. This will take you out of the Hannibal and, believe it or not, you've just finished the game's toughest level!
- 1As you're descending, switch to your Machinegun. It's a good time to check out that new clip size – it's pretty sweet.
- 2Once you step off the lift, Corporal Pitman will tell you to "haul ass in that direction." Do what he says and run along the entire length of the Hannibal. You're looking for your truck, which will be waiting for you on the road. (Side note: The Hannibal ship model in the game seems a bit off scale, doesn't it? Anyway, hop into the front of the truck.)
- 3Enjoy the ride as you follow the road and head into a pretty long tunnel.
- 4When you emerge from the tunnel, an explosion is going to freak everyone out, and the convoy will suddenly speed up. They're probably trying to avoid getting swarmed by Strogg Flyers, which makes sense.
- 5After some fast-paced action in the tunnels, the trucks will stop. This is your cue to help out the squads on either side of the road. Just use your Machinegun to pick off the Strogg Marines until they're all gone.
- 6The trucks will then drive out into the open again, and things get pretty wild all around you. Keep an eye out – you'll see a couple of Hovertanks taking down a Strogg Flyer.
- 7After you go into another tunnel, the trucks will finally stop, and you'll automatically get out.
