You have one final task, but Strauss won't be joining you. Replenish your ammo and health from the supplies on the right side of the room. Exit through the only door and follow the hallway. At the fork, continue straight for small health packs, armor shards, and a large armor vest. Return to the fork and take the other path to reach the coolant pumps. Save your game and activate the panel in the middle of the room to shut down the coolant pumps.

Tips
  • For Stream Protectors, use the Grenade Launcher and strafe constantly. About ten grenades per enemy should suffice. The Nailgun and Hyperblaster are alternatives. Use large pipes for cover if needed.
  • Stream Protectors are tough, equipped with rockets, blasters, flamethrowers, and melee attacks. Their attacks are generally dodgeable by strafing. Avoid their flamethrower due to its short range and lingering fire. They move slowly and cannot fire while moving.
  • The Nailgun, Hyperblaster, or Rocket Launcher are effective. The Lightning Gun can shock them, preventing attacks, but uses a lot of ammo.
  • After defeating the Stream Protectors, the Makron will appear. You are too weak to defeat him yet. Use your Hyperblaster or Nailgun to damage his head. He will then unleash an unavoidable lightning beam.
