Master Act 2: The Depths in Rue Valley with our comprehensive walkthrough. Learn strategies, find key items, and overcome challenges to progress through the game.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Begin by defining your character's personality using 9 points. Different traits unlock unique dialogue options and pass 'Checks' for tasks like persuasion. Some traits may block certain dialogue, potentially causing you to fail 'Intentions'.
  2. 2
Wake up and speak with Dr. Finck. Dialogue choices here do not impact progression.
  3. 3
Exit Dr. Finck's office and attempt to speak with the woman by the vending machine; your 'Total Lack of Motivation' status will prevent interaction.
  4. 4
Enter the motel reception and speak with Robin, the receptionist. Passing a Social Check with at least one point in 'Extraverted' is required to get your room's key card. Dialogue choices with Robin do not matter at this stage.
  5. 5
Go to your room. Interact with the suitcase; depending on your traits, you may be able to sit on the bed or chair.
  6. 6
After time passes, you will receive a phone call. Accepting or rejecting it, and subsequent dialogue choices, do not affect progression.
  7. 7
Review your 'memories' by clicking on each icon.
  8. 8
Experience a dream sequence that provides insight into your character.
  9. 9
After the dream, an icon will appear; you will be prompted to 'Hold to Recall', but this is not yet possible.
  10. 10
Exit your hotel room and witness a man in a truck hitting a transformer.
  11. 11
Achievement: Tap Out! Go to the bathroom in your room and drink from the tap to unlock this achievement.
  12. 12
Go downstairs and interact with the vending machine. Press the 'reddish button' to obtain a bottle of water and drink it to lose the 'Thirsty' status.
  13. 13
The sky turns red, and explosions occur, signifying a loop reset. You will wake up in Dr. Finck's office and receive a 'Purple Pill'.
  14. 14
Repeat the process: get your key card, check into your room, and attempt to put away the suitcase (which your character will resist).
  15. 15
Take the purple pill (optional) and sit on the chair to pass time. You will receive the same phone call as before; choices do not matter.
  16. 16
Pass time until you can review your memories again. You will receive your first 'Intention'.
  17. 17
'Hold to Commit' to the 'Memory or Fantasy?' Intention, but you will be unable to due to a lack of 'Willpower'.
  18. 18
Take the pill and attempt to sleep, losing the 'Anxious Apprehension' status effect. You will then lose 'Total Lack of Motivation' and gain 1 'Inspiration' (equivalent to 'Willpower'), allowing you to commit to Intentions.
  19. 19
Commit to the 'Memory or Fantasy?' Intention and go outside. The Intention will update.
  20. 20
Investigate the transformer that was hit by the car. Select all dialogue options to complete the Intention. The sky will turn red, ending the loop.
  21. 21
After speaking with Dr. Finck, open the memories screen, select the Intention, and 'Hold to Wrap Up' to gain 1 'Inspiration'.
  22. 22
Outside Dr. Finck's office, an 'Intention' to leave will unlock. Commit to it and interact with your car. You will fail to leave and return to Dr. Finck's office.
  23. 23
A dialogue option related to the intention will appear. As you attempt to leave again, you will lose control of the car, triggering a Decisional Check.
  24. 24
Decisional Check: If you have 'Calculated' +1, you regain control; otherwise, you lose control. You gain 2 'Inspiration' regardless of the outcome.
  25. 25
Fail the intention and unlock the achievement: The Escape Failed Successfully.
  26. 26
Select the Intention again and 'Hold to Give up'.
  27. 27
Free Roaming: Speak to the woman hitting the vending machine again. This will grant you the 'Fix Vending Machine' Intention. Commit to it via the memories screen.
  28. 28
Speak to the woman again and select 'Maybe I can help?'. Attempt and fail to fix the vending machine, then 'give up'.
  29. 29
Go to the motel reception and speak to Robin. Select the vending machine-related dialogue option to learn how to fix it.
  30. 30
If the clock is 8:07 or less, give Riley (the woman) a coffee to complete the Intention and earn 3 'Inspiration'. You learn her name is Riley and gain memories: Robin's, Ben Fleming (Robin's father), and Coral Destiny. Update the Rocket Launch memory by asking if she's watching the launch.
  31. 31
Wrap up the vending machine Intention in your memories. Interact with the door left of your room on the second floor to gain the 'The Stocky Man' Memory.
  32. 32
Speak to Robin again and discuss the time loop and Ben Fleming.
  33. 33
The 'Stocky Man' (Jason Burns) will enter reception at 8:12. Listen to his conversation with Robin. Afterwards, speaking to Robin reveals his name and backstory.
  34. 34
Driving South - Max Gas: Drive south to Max Gas. To the left of the store, interact with the camera to unlock the 'Reality Show' Intention.
  35. 35
Inside Max Gas, you may find Max and Riley. Listening to them updates and creates memories: 'Careless Driver', 'Max Gas Lady', and 'Where's Walter?'.
  36. 36
Speaking to Max alone updates her memory to 'Maxine Kay'. Asking about Jason Burns updates Maxine's and Jason Burns' memories.
  37. 37
Interact with the Kitty Poster to gain 1 'Inspiration'.
  38. 38
Select dialogue options related to Time Loop and Reality TV to advance those Intentions.
  39. 39
Use your phone to ask the police about Walter Kay.
  40. 40
Use your phone to pass time and restart the loop. You may see an icon for the dream, requiring 5 Willpower/Inspiration to recall.
  41. 41
Next Loop: In Dr. Finck's office, ask about Coral Destiny and engage with options related to the Reality Show Intention.
  42. 42
Go outside and give Riley a coffee again. You can ask Riley about Co...
