North Forest: Head north from the start to engage numerous Yaga-Shura soldiers. If Neera is present, a messenger bird will initiate her companion quest regarding Vicross. Continue north to find a surviving merchant, Karthis al-Hezzar. He offers services and may give you 1000G and +1 Reputation if you are gracious. He sells scrolls, potions, regular weapons up to +3, and the Obsidian Ioun Stone.

North Forest (continued): Go south and east across stepping stones. Cautiously advance and defeat two Fire Giants emerging from fog. Continue east, eliminating Yaga-Shura soldiers. Cross a footbridge to face a large group of Yaga-Shura forces, including a Mage, two Clerics of Talos, and two more Fire Giants. The giants are the primary threat.

Forest of Mir Access: Upon reaching the eastern edge of the North Forest, you can select the Forest of Mir from the world map. If Rasaad is not in your party, consider returning to the Pocket Plane to summon him via the Fate Spirit to start his companion quest upon accessing the world map.
