Hey there! So, Richard's not dead after all, but he's in a bit of a bind and needs Asbel's help. Let's get this done!
First things first, as soon as you get control, make a beeline for the chest nearby. Inside, you'll find a Red Ribbon. Then, head north to check out those purple flowers. You'll discover the Puffpetal Down (Discovery), snag some Puffpetal Down x3, and trigger the skit A Place to Belong. Keep heading north and grab the Feather from the chest you'll see near the Barona zoneline. After that, backtrack a bit towards the cottage by the beach. A scene will play out, followed by a fight.
Once that's settled, chat with the Turtlez vendor chilling by the cottage. They've got a bunch of new items, some of which seem to hint at a new weapon type for an upcoming ally. Don't miss the skit Class Dismissed, and grab the Paralysis Charm from the chest nearby. Inside the cottage, there's another chest with Pasta x3. Talk to the guy inside; he'll mention titles you can get by opening lots of chests. Now, here's a little trick: use the cottage to reset the sparkling spots on the beach. Keep doing this a few times to snag the Magic Carta No. 5. It might take a few tries, but it's worth it!
After you've got the Magic Carta, head south from the cottage. You'll run into a rather… interesting scene. Once that's over, grab the Rusted Nail from the chest right there. Then, make your way southeast for another scene. Be sure to pick up the 658 Gald and catch the Bilateral Alliance skit before you head into the ruins.

Tip: If any of your characters have a steal ability on their A-Artes (like Sophie's Eagle Dive, which needs a specific Title leveled up), now's a great time to use it on the Rising Star enemy to get Roe. This is a super rare item early on, so grab it while you can! To do this, set everyone to manual and just focus on one character spamming the steal skill until you see a notice pop up above the character icons.
