In the relentless onslaught of ULTRAKILL, simply reacting to enemies isn't enough; you must actively manipulate them to your advantage. This involves understanding their AI, their attack patterns, and using the environment and your arsenal to control their movement and create openings for devastating attacks. Effective enemy manipulation is the hallmark of a truly skilled V1 pilot.

One of the most fundamental forms of manipulation is using sound and visual cues. Enemies are drawn to gunfire and movement. You can use this to lure them into traps, such as clusters of explosive barrels, or to draw them away from objectives or vulnerable allies (if playing with others). A well-placed shotgun blast can draw the attention of nearby Husks, allowing you to deal with a more immediate threat elsewhere.

Environmental hazards are your best friends. Pits, explosive barrels, and even corrosive pools can be used to your advantage. Lure enemies near these hazards and then use weapons like the Shotgun's knockback or the Rocket Launcher's explosive radius to push them into danger. The Malicious Face's homing rockets can be dodged, and if you're skilled enough, you can even bait them into hitting other enemies.

Weapon abilities also play a crucial role. The Shotgun's alternate fire, Freeze Frame, can be used to stop enemies in their tracks, allowing you to reposition them or set them up for a powerful attack. The Nailgun's magnetic nail can be used to pull smaller enemies towards you, or to attach to larger enemies and detonate them with a well-timed explosion. Even the Railgun's piercing shots can be used to hit multiple enemies lined up in a row, effectively controlling their positioning through damage.

Finally, understanding enemy aggro is key. Certain enemies will prioritize specific targets. By positioning yourself strategically, you can draw aggro onto yourself and away from other areas, or conversely, bait enemies into engaging each other. Mastering these manipulation techniques will transform you from a reactive survivor into a proactive predator.
