05. Castillo de Jagua

Alright, let's tackle Castillo de Jagua! This fort has a bit more going on than the previous ones, with 6 defenses to worry about: 3 cannon walls, 3 towers, and mortars raining down on you from above. You'll also need to take out 2 specific officers.

Don't let the extra defenses scare you off. Your usual naval tactics with heavy shot and broadsides will still work wonders. You might just need to make an extra pass or two to clear everything out before you can move on to the land assault.

Once the naval part is done, it's time to get ashore. Land your ship in the designated area and follow the path. You'll come to a small set of stairs leading up to a burning, collapsed wall. You can't go through there, so take a climb up the wall to your right. At the top, two target markers will pop up – these are your fort officers.

Your first officer is located in a large structure right in front of you. Run over, climb to the top, and clear out any enemies in the area. Then, head down the ramp into a small courtyard. You'll find the first officer here. Take him down.

After dealing with the first officer, hop over the wall to the south and drop down to the platform below. Look for stairs leading down to the next level, closer to the water. Your second target will be down here. Finish him off.

Pro Tip: Sometimes, especially in the heat of battle, it's just easier to snipe the officers from a distance. This can speed up your access to the war room.

With both officers eliminated, make your way to the door marked with the green objective marker. Head inside, take out the lone enemy guarding it, and congratulations – you've just liberated Castillo de Jagua!
