03. Jiguey

Follow our step-by-step guide to navigate the Jiguey cave, defeat enemies, and find all the hidden chests and Animus Fragments in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.

Alright, let's tackle the Jiguey smuggler's den. First things first, park your boat outside and swim ashore to the beach right in front of the cave entrance. Before you dive in, take a quick look to the right of the cave mouth – you should spot a message in a bottle. Grab that, and then head into the cave.

Follow the main passage until you reach a big cavern. You'll see a natural hole in the ceiling letting in some light. Immediately to your right, there's a wooden platform. Climb up it and take out the Gunner waiting there. Now, drop down to the wooden walkway below. Keep an eye out for the first ladder on your left; climb down it. At the base of that ladder, tucked behind a wall, is an Animus Fragment. Grab it, then climb back up.

Continue along the walkway, heading all the way to the left. You'll need to take out the guard posted at the very end. Once he's down, loot the nearby chest. After that, drop down the ladder at the end of the walkway. You'll find yourself near a campfire with two smugglers. Deal with them, and then loot the chest tucked against one of the tents.

Keep pushing forward towards the wooden docking platform ahead. There are three more bad guys posted here, so clear them out. Once the area is secure, look for a third chest on the ground level of the docks, hidden behind some crates. For the final chest, you'll need to climb up the eastern wall of the docks to reach the higher level. This chest is hidden up there.

Now, here's a little secret: drop into the water below the platform where you found that last chest. Swim underneath it, and you'll find another Animus Fragment. With that, you should have everything from this den. Time to head out!
