Walkthrough

After the initial cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically), find Micolash in the lower section of the library.

Follow him until he enters a hallway with multiple arches.

Focus on defeating the two Skeletal Puppets first, then attack Micolash. Avoid his Augur of Ebrietas attack.

When Micolash reaches below 50% health, he will pretend to die and teleport to the upper section of the library.

Chase him through the upper library. Take the stairs to the right of the room you fought him in, proceeding through the now open archway to the main staircase. Defeat the two Mergo’s Attendants (one with a flail, one with a crossbow) on the staircase before entering the upper library.

Head up the stairs to find Micolash, who will jump through mirrors. Backtrack and take a right to drop from the balcony into the room where he exited.

He may run through another room with a mirror or into a room and lock the gate behind him. If he locks the gate, take the staircase to the left of it, turn left twice, and follow the stairs up to a room overlooking the large bridge. Look for a gap in the railing on the right to find a hidden path that drops you into the room with Micolash.

In this second encounter, Micolash is aggressive. Stick close to him and circle him, baiting his Augur of Ebrietas attack. Get behind him with a quick weapon to use a full charge attack followed by a visceral attack.

Your main goal is to prevent him from casting A Call Beyond, which can instantly kill you. His other attacks do negligible damage.

Tips

In Phase 1, do not run straight at Micolash to avoid his Augur of Ebrietas.
In Phase 2, Micolash will use A Call Beyond if you give him too much room. Stay close.
Use a quick weapon to perform a charged attack followed by a visceral attack after he uses Augur of Ebrietas.

After defeating Micolash, you can find the following items in the library areas: Quicksilver Bullets x6, Frenzied Coldblood (9), Blood Stone Chunk, Kin Coldblood (10), the Iron Door Key, Blood Vial x8, Sedative x3, the Moon Rune, and Quicksilver Bullets x6.
