Central Yharnam

Take the stairway directly ahead to find a body containing Blood Vial x4.

Backtrack and turn left to encounter your first Huntsman hiding behind the second carriage. Bait the enemy to strike, then attack to defeat them.

Near the first enemy, pull a lever to lower a nearby ladder. Before taking it, grab the Blood Vial x2 from the body next to it.

Kill the two Huntsmen playing dead at the end of the road. Break the boxes in the corner to grab Molotov Cocktail x6.

Climb the ladder to reach the Central Yharnam lamp.

Talk to the window of the building next to the lamp to meet Gilbert, an NPC (non-player character — anyone the game controls, not you) who will introduce himself.

Take the only stairs to find a body with Pebble x8.

Continue, watching out for a Huntsman on the right behind some boxes.

You have two paths: stairs leading down to the main street, or a drop to a bonfire with another Huntsman. Take the drop, defeat the enemy, and grab the Molotov Cocktail x4 behind the well.

As you head down the stairs, consider transforming your weapon with L1 for more range and the ability to hit multiple enemies.

Kill the two Huntsmen below. If you head left, you'll encounter another group of Huntsmen.
