The Rampager

Learn how to defeat The Rampager in Borderlands 3. This guide covers its location, phases, weaknesses, and the legendary loot it drops, including the Will-o'-the-Wisp and Quadomizer.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Location: Forgotten Basilica - Vault of The Rampager
• Mission: Beneath the Meridian (Main Mission)
• Weak Point: Ribcage (initially), Head (after knockdown)
• Drops: Legendary Shotgun Will-o’-the-Wisp, Legendary RPG Quadomizer, Random Legendary World Drops

Phases:

1. Phase 1: The Rampager leaps, creates shockwaves on landing, and fires elemental blasts. Its weak point is its ribcage. Adds (Wraiths) will appear and can be used for resources.
2. Phase 2 (Immune): After taking about half damage, it becomes immune and absorbs Spirit Orbs. Shoot these orbs to prevent a buff. It then transforms and fires a wave of blasts that must be leaped over. It strafes while firing regular blasts.
3. Phase 3 (Immune): With a quarter health remaining, it absorbs Spirit Orbs again. Shoot them to prevent a buff. It transforms into its final form with wings, increasing speed and leaping around the arena. Fireballs rain from the sky.

Strategy:

• Constantly move around the large arena to avoid The Rampager's attacks, especially its leaping shockwaves and rapid elemental blasts.
• Use the pillars in the arena for cover if necessary, but prioritize staying mobile.
• Focus fire on its ribcage when it's vulnerable. After it falls to the ground, unload damage into its head.
• During its immune phases, prioritize shooting the Spirit Orbs to weaken its buffs.
• Use the adds (Wraiths) for health, ammo, or Second Winds if needed.
• In its final phase, continue moving to avoid the raining fireballs and its increased speed.

Legendary Drops:

• Will-o’-the-Wisp: A Legendary Shotgun that can charge up to fire a large Shock orb, consuming four ammo.
• Quadomizer: A Legendary RPG that shoots four rockets which cycle through all elements.
