Head Case: Ascension Bluff

Need help with the Head Case side mission in Borderlands 3? Follow our guide to collect Vic's ECHO Logs, defeat the Interrogator, and exit the simulation.

Alright, so you want to tackle the 'Head Case' side mission on Ascension Bluff? It's a pretty straightforward one, but you'll need to have beaten Mouthpiece first. Once that's done, head up the stairs to the right of the arena and follow the path. You're looking for a dark room with a head in a jar. Grab it, and then make your way to the entrance of the Path of Sacrifice.

At the entrance, you'll find a console. Plug the head in and interact with the computer to dive into a simulation. This is where the real mission kicks off!

Collect Memory Fragments

Inside the simulation, your main goal is to find four of Vic's ECHO Logs. They're scattered around the area, and you'll pick them up on your way to finding Vic herself.

1. Vic's ECHO Log #1: Right at the start of the simulation, look for a destroyed car. The first log is inside it.
2. Vic's ECHO Log #2: Keep moving forward from the destroyed car. You'll find the second log sitting on a chair.
3. Vic's ECHO Log #3: Continue on until you reach The Holy Broadcast Center. The third log is in the first room on your left as you enter.
4. Vic's ECHO Log #4: Head into the area just past the speakers. The fourth and final log is located there, to your left.

Find Vic

Once you've got all four ECHO Logs, keep pushing through The Holy Broadcast Center. You'll eventually come to a ramp – head up it. You'll find Vic kneeling on the floor. Talk to her, and get ready, because this is when the Interrogator is going to spawn.

The Interrogator isn't the toughest boss you'll face, but it's smart to clear out any other enemies hanging around first. Use the pillars in the area for cover if you need to dodge some attacks. Focus on the Interrogator, and you'll take it down.

Exit Simulation

With all the ECHO Logs collected and the Interrogator defeated, you're ready to wrap things up. Head back to the console where you first entered the simulation. Interact with it to complete the 'Head Case' side mission. As a reward, you'll snag a unique rare weapon, so it's definitely worth the effort!
