The Homestead: The Splinterlands

Follow our step-by-step Borderlands 3 walkthrough for The Homestead side mission in The Splinterlands. Collect items and return them to Ma Honeywell.

Alright, let's get this side mission done! After you've made a bit of progress in the main story and hit up the Blood Drive area in The Splinterlands, you'll want to head over to the Bounty Board. Grab the mission called 'The Homestead' – it's the first one from Ma Honeywell.

Once you've accepted it, make your way to the waypoint on your map. You'll find Ma Honeywell waiting for you at The Homestead. She's got a bit of a problem and needs your help retrieving some stolen goods.

Collect Fuse / Collect Wind Turbine Core

First up, you need to grab a Fuse and a Wind Turbine Core. Open up your map and set a marker on the fuse waypoint. You'll need to head into a nearby camp and make your way to the top of a hill. Watch out for any enemies along the way! Once you reach the summit, you'll find a fusebox – grab the Fuse from there.

With the Fuse in hand, it's time to head southwest to an area called The Rave Cave. This place is crawling with enemies, including a mini-boss named DJ DeadSk4G. Take them all out – doing so will actually complete another objective for you, the 'Zer0’s Targets of Opportunity' mission. After clearing the cave, push through to the back and snag the Wind Turbine Core.

Install Wind Turbine Core / Place Fuse

Now that you've got both the Fuse and the Wind Turbine Core, it's time to head back to The Homestead. Speak with Ma Honeywell again. She'll explain that her back is acting up, so she can't install the items herself. Your job is to head back out to the waypoints on the map and return the Fuse and the Wind Turbine Core to their rightful spots.

Return to Ma

With everything back where it belongs, make your way back to Ma one last time. Chat with her, and you'll officially complete 'The Homestead' side mission!
