Alright, so you've stumbled into the Reptite Lair in 65,000,000 B.C. When you first enter, just head right into the next room. Keep an eye out for these Aecyto Weevil enemies; they're digging holes in the ground. Depending on where they dig, you can drop into one of four different rooms below to snag some treasure. Here's the lowdown on which hole leads where:

• Northwest: Nothing here, sadly.
• Southwest: You'll find a Mid-Ether and a Hi-Potion.
• Northeast: Score a Mid-Ether, an Elixir, and a Ruby Vest.
• Southeast: Grab a Hi-Potion and a Hi-Ether.

Don't worry if you miss something; you can always come back later to explore the other holes. No matter which path you take, you'll eventually end up in a big room below.

In that next room, you'll need to take down some Reptites and Megasaurs. After the fight, check the chest in the southwest corner for a Stone Helm – definitely equip that on Crono for now. Then, open the chest in the northeast area to grab a Hi-Ether. Now, head east and move into the next room. Defeat the enemies roaming around in here, then push north and take out the enemies guarding the door to the room beyond. Once that's clear, you'll find a save point. It's a good idea to recover your HP and MP with a Shelter and save your game before pressing onward.

When you're ready to move on, with your party (I recommend Crono, Ayla, and Robo for this part), head north into the next area. As you go north, your group will notice Azala waiting for you. Azala will ask you about the Gate Key. Honestly, it doesn't really matter which answer you pick here. Azala will then call out Nizbel to fight you.
