[04-01-09] Protozoid Slimer

Learn about the Protozoid Slimer in Duke Nukem 3D, their bite attack, and how they can be used against other enemies.

Protozoid Slimers are green blobs of slime that can hatch from Protozoid Slimer Eggs, live in garbage cans, or appear normally. They have a health of 6 or less and their only attack is a bite that latches onto your face. However, you only take real damage if you see them biting you directly. They are agile and can jump between surfaces. They also consume corpses of fallen enemies.

You can use Protozoid Slimers to your advantage: when they approach certain enemies like Troopers, Captains, Pig Cops, or Enforcers, they will kill them for you, which is efficient in tough situations.

Warning: When you kill a Protozoid Slimer, they sometimes leave a puddle of green acid that can whittle away your health if you do not have boots (protective footwear).

Recommended Weapons: Using your boot is most efficient, but anything will kill them in one shot.
