[07-01-31] E4L11 - Area 51

Starting Out: If you're using cheats, you can use 'DNCLIP' to phase through the initial chain-link fence. While you can't fly over it, clipping through lets you get a closer look at the details. Behind the jeep, you'll find a sign that reads "3D Realms Prop. Dept. #4330 Jeep." The number here is actually a tile reference used in the game's art assets.

The Trailer: Head to the back of the trailer in the 'Outside' area. You'll spot a license plate that says "ILUVET." This is a clear nod to the movie E.T., tying into the alien theme of Area 51.

Crate Room Clues: Inside the crate room, look for a specific box. It's marked as "Received from Roswell, N.M., 7/2/47, to W.P.A.F.B, OH Hanger 18." This references the famous Roswell incident and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (W.P.A.F.B), known for its involvement in aerospace research and alleged alien crash retrievals.

Secret Area 5: This secret area contains a sign that explicitly says "Groom Lake." This is the actual name of the dry lake bed where the infamous Area 51 is located.

The Alienship: In the large central room, you'll find a prominent alienship. This model is a direct replica of the alien ship from the movie Independence Day (ID4). Notice the bottle on it? In the movie, an officer shoots at a soda can near the ship, but here, developers replaced it with a bottle since there are no soda cans in Duke Nukem 3D. If you manage to enter the alienship, you'll find a nuclear warhead inside, complete with an Atomic Health pickup – another callback to a key scene in ID4.

Monitor Mayhem: Keep an eye out for a monitor displaying Duke Burger under attack by a massive alien spacecraft. This scene mirrors the iconic moment in Independence Day where an alien ship destroys the White House.

Screen Scares: Scattered throughout the level, you might see screens showing a shadowy Alien Drone looming over a woman. This is likely a reference to the same woman featured in the Episode 4 opening video.
