Episode 1: LA Meltdown

Damn, those alien bastards are gonna pay for shooting up my ride.

This is the first episode, also included in the shareware version. It consists of 5 basic levels and 1 hidden level. After exploring Hollywood and a somewhat remote red-light district, Duke is captured by aliens. After escaping, he develops and destroys the alien base in a remote area of California.

Hollywood Holocaust

This is a monumental first level. It is set around a wide road that embodies the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with a theater as the central point.

Upon crashing, Duke takes damage from the spaceship and ventilation system, but the immediate +30 health pickup mitigates this. If Duke proceeds carefully, he can find an RPG on the floors near the street. He can also penetrate some windows on the right building. A hidden area containing a chain gun is located behind a window in the left building, though it's slightly more difficult to access than the right building's secret.

A pornographic film called Sister Act 3 is playing in the theater. Activating the projector displays a large bikini-clad woman on screen, with a visible crack in the crotch area. This crack can be destroyed with an RPG or pipe bomb. The arcade area contains numerous gas canisters and enemies. Exploding these canisters requires Duke to quickly retreat to the safe area near the elevator he arrived from.
