Learn about Duke Nukem 3D cheats like God Mode, Clipping, Level Warp, All Items, All Keys, All Weapons, and Max Ammo.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
God Mode: Makes you immune to enemy attacks, environmental hazards, gravity, explosions, drowning, and most forms of being squished. Note: Some squishing can still kill you even in God Mode.
  2. 2
Clipping: When enabled, you can walk through walls but not easily through ceilings or roofs. If you stop moving, you may have fallen off the map; check your (minimap (the small circular map in the bottom-left corner of your screen)) and walk back.
  3. 3
Level Warp: Allows you to change the current level. For example, typing DNSCOTTY209 transports you to Episode 2, Level 09 - Overlord.
  4. 4
+ All Items: Adds the Portable Medikit, Goggles, Steroids, Jetpack, Protective Boots, Scuba Gear, and Holoduke to your inventory.
  5. 5
+ All Keys: Adds the Yellow Key, Blue Key, and Red Key to your inventory.
  6. 6
+ All Weapons: Adds the Pistol, Shotgun, Chaingun Cannon, RPG, Shrink Ray, Devastator, and Freezer to your weapons. Non-gun items are not included, but this cheat also grants + Max Ammo, negating that issue.
  7. 7
+ Max Ammo: Grants maximum ammunition for all weapons.

Easter Egg Cheats: Some cheats are considered Easter Eggs, including DNALLEN, DNBETA, DNTODD / DNCOSMO, DN1984, and DNMACS. These are expanded upon in section 07-01-32.

.CON Files: These files contain all variables in Duke Nukem 3D. DEFS.CON contains values for how things spawn and what they are. GAME.CON contains other values, including monster hitpoints, weapon damage, blast radii, and spawn times. These function similarly to C++ #define preprocessor commands, replacing identifiers with values before compilation.

Warning: Back up all your *.CON files before editing to ensure you have originals if something goes wrong. Do not edit identifiers; only edit their attributed values, as the game may crash if a required item is not found.

Tips
  • Only use spaces to separate different parts of a command within .CON files. Multiple spaces are acceptable.
  • DEFS.CON contains values for spawning and game elements.
  • GAME.CON allows modification of monster strength, weapon damage, and Duke's HP, among other things.
