Complete Far Cry 2 Part 20 walkthrough, including how to reach the Villa and Mokuba, and the best weapons like the dart rifle.
Walkthrough
- 1From the southeast bus station, drive east off-road into the barrens, veering north past the improvised guard post. Swing west near the large baobab tree to enter the grassy valley, intersect the north-south road, and continue north to the weapon shop. Park and walk to the safe house for the briefing.
- 2After the briefing, advance time to night. Go southwest on the safe house’s entry road and across the main east-west roadway.
- 3Be aware of an assault truck’s patrol circuit from the guard post to the west. Go up the grassy slope to the rock face.
- 4Move west along the mountain, past the waterfall, collecting any diamonds (3) if not already acquired.
- 5Sneak past the guard post and the bridge. Bear north toward the objective.
- 6In a ravine, you will find an overturned bus containing a Jackal Tape and a diamond case (2). The safe house to its west is guarded by three hostiles and is not worth the effort.
- 7Continue north, staying in the low area well east of the guarded safe house. Veer west and move along the rock face until you encounter the main road.
- 8Take the narrow dirt path just north of the main road, heading north toward the guard post. This path allows you to pass to the rear of the guard post undetected.
- 9Jump onto the rocks to find another diamond case (3).
- 10Continue along the path toward the complex. As it comes into view, take out the sniper on the balcony dead ahead with the dart rifle.
- 11Drop down off the hillside and use the white fences to move toward the objective. Enter the west entrance of the Villa.
- 12Three or four hostiles patrol the Villa area. Use your dart rifle to maintain stealth, but enter quickly.
- 13Go up the stairs to confront the Belgian and intimidate him into sending the false coordinates. Do not hesitate to kill him afterwards, as he will pull a pistol.
- 14If detected, get to the big truck you passed on your way in. Use your shotgun or assault rifle on any hostiles, run out the west entry, go around the backside of the garages, and sprint to the big truck.
- 15Drive east and run down any guards near the Villa’s exit.
- 16To return to the weapon shop, abandon the big truck before reaching the guard post east of the Villa. Get back to the dirt path behind it to bypass the guard post and avoid assault trucks. Continue south, then bear east, bypassing the river guard post and continuing along the mountainside past the waterfall to the weapon shop.
- 17Alternate Route (Mokuba): Return to Pala after the briefing. Take the boat from the east dock and go east toward the objective marker. Stop short of the safe house in the narrow watercourse and walk the east riverbank. Swim underwater past the safe house. An action prompt allows you to get onto the rocks. Follow them to the rear of the Villa.
- 18The dock area is swarming with mercenaries but they will not see you if you move carefully while crouched. Two sentries patrol the perimeter; both will vacate the rear area periodically, allowing you to enter the Villa’s west entrance.
- 19If you were not seen entering, you can sneak back out using the same route. Intimidate the Belgian. If you were seen entering, sprint out, get back to the rocky ledge, and then to your boat for the return trip to tackle the Mokuba part of the mission.
- 20Mokuba Approach: From the weapon shop, drive south, then cut southwest cross-country between the mountains to intersect the road south of Mokuba. Drive toward the shantytown with headlights off until you see the Petro-Sahel billboard. Stop and turn the vehicle around for a quick getaway.
- 21Begin a silent advance along the rock face alongside the road, using tall grass and bushes for cover (press the cover button to crouch behind walls or objects). Monitor the area for enemy activity.
- 22Wait for sentries to move away or take them out with a silent headshot (a shot that lands on the enemy's head, usually an instant kill). Ahead, you will see a tall metal fence with two red APR stars. The path to the ravine where the gear is located is to its left, obscured by a scrub tree.
- 23When the area is clear of sentries, move quickly past the scrub tree and step onto the metal ramp with your grenade launcher equipped.
Tips
- Night is preferable for the Villa approach to reduce enemy visibility.
- The dart rifle is highly effective for stealth takedowns, especially against snipers.
- If detected, the big truck provides a means of escape, but be prepared for pursuit.
- The alternate route via boat to the Villa’s rear entrance offers a stealthier approach, especially on higher difficulties.
- Avoid direct confrontation with the large garrison at the Villa if possible, particularly on "Infamous" difficulty.
