Far Cry 2 walkthrough for Part 36: Retrieve the bloody box trophy from Weelegol Village for Andre. Includes bold and conservative approaches.
Walkthrough
- 1From Mike's Bar, head towards Weelegol Village.
- 2Bold Approach: Drive to the southwest bus stop, then angle northeast through the desert scrub. Approach the village from the southwest to avoid the assault truck. Use boulders to let the truck pass, then enter the village via the main road and a wooden walkway.
- 3Upon reaching the walkway, use the MGL-140 grenade launcher to hit the sentry and the entrance of the structure beyond.
- 4Inside the structure are two suit-wearing agents. Use another grenade if needed for nearby hostiles.
- 5Immediately sprint into the hut, grab the trophy, and retreat. Do not attempt to grab the diamond.
- 6Return to your vehicle and drive back to Mike's Bar.
- 7Conservative Approach: Take the bus to the southwest station and drive north towards Weelegol Village. Alternatively, use the safe house west of the village to forward time.
- 8Drive northeast past the village entrance and east along the north face of the small mountain on the northwest edge.
- 9Avoid or eliminate the patrol truck that makes rounds from the village.
- 10Park near the tree at the top of the slope and get onto the rock ledge overlooking the village.
- 11Use the dart rifle to thin defenders. Toss a Molotov into dry grass to draw more out.
- 12Use the MGL-140 grenade launcher to attack the village and its defenders from the ledge.
- 13Continue sniping and use remaining grenades or Molotovs if hostiles get close.
- 14Once the village is clear, descend and advance to the hut with the trophy.
- 15Take the trophy and the diamond from the case in the same shack.
- 16Return to your vehicle (or steal an SUV) and drive to the southwest bus station, then back to Mike's Bar.
Tips
- Night is the preferred time for this mission.
- Recommended weapons include the MGL-140 grenade launcher, Uzi, and dart rifle.
- Be aware of patrol cars, trucks, and boat patrols in the area.
- A mortar operator may be present on a small island west of the brewery.
- The conservative approach offers a nearly untouchable position if using the ledge to block incoming fire.
