Alright, let's talk about Takumi! He's a Hoshidan prince, and honestly, he's a bit of a hothead – you know, the 'tsundere' type. He wields the legendary Fujin Yumi, which is a huge deal, and he's super kind to those he trusts, even though he can be a bit tempestuous. Just be aware, he apparently has some pretty rough nightmares.

When you're building your team, Takumi's growth rates are pretty interesting. He's got a fantastic 60% growth in Skill, which is great for hitting things accurately. His Health (50%) and Strength (35%) are decent, but his Speed (40%) and Luck (45%) are just okay. Don't expect much from his Magic (0%) or Resistance (20%), and his Defense (35%) is only average. Basically, he's built to hit hard and hit often with his bow, but he's not going to take many hits himself, and he's not going to be casting any spells.

Class-wise, Takumi starts as an Archer, which is perfect for him. His legendary weapon, the Fujin Yumi, is incredibly powerful and gives him a massive boost, especially with its high critical hit rate. This really makes up for his Strength growth not being through the roof.

Now, his secondary class, Spear Fighter, isn't the most synergistic for him. Lancefaire is pretty much useless since he's a bow user. However, if you pair him up with a good friend or a spouse, you can open up some really great options like Bow Knight or Mechanist. This lets him keep his bow skills while gaining access to new abilities, which is fantastic.

The best part about Takumi? He's a unit that requires very little investment to be good. Seriously, he's almost a 'set it and forget it' kind of character. And here's the kicker: there are quite a few chapters in Birthright where almost all the enemies are flying units. Guess what Takumi's bow is amazing against? Yep, flyers! This makes him one of the most valuable units you can have on your team during those specific chapters.
