The Oni Chieftain is a Hoshidan warrior class that really shines with its raw power and defensive capabilities. Think of it as the Hoshidan version of a Berserker, but with a neat twist: it can actually use magic, which gives it a lot more flexibility than you might expect. Plus, it gets access to some seriously awesome skills!

• Strength: 20% growth rate
• Magic: 15% growth rate
• Skill: 0% growth rate
• Speed: 10% growth rate
• Luck: 0% growth rate
• Defense: 20% growth rate
• Resistance: 5% growth rate

You'll notice this class hits hard and can take a beating, especially with its high Defense. However, don't expect it to be super accurate or tough against magic users, as its Skill and Resistance growths are pretty low. It's a bit of a glass cannon, but with a very sturdy cannon!

This is where the Oni Chieftain gets interesting. It can swing heavy clubs and axes, but it can also sling spells with scrolls and tomes. That magic access is a huge deal, setting it apart from other physical powerhouses.

Death Blow is amazing because it's a straight damage boost with no real downside. Counter is also super useful for punishing enemies who dare to attack you up close. Just be careful when fighting enemies who *also* have Counter – you don't want to get caught in a damaging loop!

The Oni Chieftain is a really solid powerhouse class, especially if you like your units to hit like a truck and have good Defense. The ability to use magic adds a nice layer of versatility that other physical classes just don't have. The main drawbacks are that clubs aren't always the most reliable weapons, and the Oni Savage class, which is the only way to become an Oni Chieftain, isn't super common. Still, if you manage to get one, it's a very satisfying unit to have on your team!
