Hey there! So, you're looking into the Songstress class in Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright? It's a pretty unique one, and honestly, it's all about support. You'll mainly be using Azura, as she's the only one who can be this class. Don't worry too much about her stats, since she's not really built for fighting. The real magic is in her support skills!

The Songstress is a special class, meaning it's not a base or advanced class, and has a level cap of 40. You'll learn skills at levels 1, 10, 25, and 35. It's worth noting that you can reclass from a special class to an advanced class later on without any issues.

The main draw of the Songstress is its exclusive command, Sing. This lets you give an ally another turn to move, which is incredibly useful for setting up attacks or getting units out of danger. Because of this, her low growth rates and fragility are pretty much a non-issue. You can just ignore them!

Her passive skills are also pretty neat for providing some passive damage mitigation. Voice of Peace and Foreign Princess both reduce damage from nearby enemies. The catch is that you need to be within two tiles of the enemies to get the benefit, which can put Azura in a risky spot given her low defenses. Still, Inspiring Song is a must-have skill for the Songstress. Boosting an ally's Skill, Speed, and Luck by +3 for a turn is huge, so make sure to keep that equipped!

Honestly, the Songstress might not look like much on paper, but being able to refresh an ally's turn is invaluable. Keep Azura around and use her for her support abilities – it's totally worth it!
