Alright, let's talk about Nightwing's Momentum Abilities in Gotham Knights. These are your big-hitter moves, the ones that really turn the tide of a fight. They all have a Momentum Cost, so you'll need to build up that meter by fighting effectively. Here’s the rundown on every single one, how to unlock them, and what they do.

Pounce — This is your bread-and-butter for closing distance. Nightwing leaps to a faraway enemy, dealing damage and knocking them down. It only costs 1 Momentum, making it great for initiating or finishing off a single target. You get this one right from the start, it's a default ability.

Elemental Shockwave — With this, Nightwing slams the ground, creating an Elemental trail that damages enemies caught in it. It’s another 1 Momentum ability. To unlock it, you'll need to progress through the story until you reach Case File 1.4: Blackgate Blues.

Shotgun Darts — Nightwing fires a dart from each hand, and they hit harder the closer you are to the enemy. This also costs 1 Momentum. You'll unlock this one by completing the Guard Break Training.

Speed Boost — This ability gives Nightwing a burst of speed, letting him move and fight faster. Plus, you gain more Momentum the further you travel to hit enemies. It costs 1 Momentum. To get this, you need to complete two Nest activities, which become available as crimes after Case File 3.1: The Key.

Dart Storm — A more powerful version of his basic darts, Nightwing unleashes a barrage, damaging enemies and lowering their resistance to Elemental effects. This one costs 2 Momentum. You'll need to defeat 15 Talons to unlock it.

Whirlwind — Nightwing spins around, throwing his escrima sticks to hit all enemies within range. This also costs 2 Momentum. To get this ability, you'll need to defeat 5 League of Shadows Assassins.

Bright Knight — Nightwing’s symbol flares up, stunning nearby enemies and giving allies 1 Momentum Segment. This is a great support move and costs 2 Momentum. You unlock it by finishing all of Dick Grayson's side stories, with the final one taking place at the graveyard in New Gotham.

Nest (Ultimate) — This is your big ultimate! Nightwing creates a protective Nest around himself and his allies, giving a huge defense boost and healing over time. Enemies that wander into it also take damage over time. It costs 2 Momentum. You'll unlock this by progressing through the Knighthood Tree.

Putting it all Together: Best Nightwing Combos

For taking on a group, you'll want to build up 4 Momentum. Start with Dart Storm to weaken everyone's Elemental resistance, then immediately follow up with Whirlwind. If you've got an Elemental effect on your weapons, Whirlwind will apply that status to the whole group. It’s super effective!

If you're focusing on a single tough enemy, try using Pounce, especially with its Aerial attack upgrades. After that, hit them with Shotgun Darts, making sure you're right up in their face for maximum damage. Get close, hit hard!
