Learn how to switch playable characters in Gotham Knights after the tutorial mission. Find out about shared XP, separate skill points, and gear crafting.
Alright, so you've just finished up that initial tutorial mission in Gotham Knights, probably feeling pretty set with your chosen hero. Once you're back in the Belfry, things open up a bit. You'll notice suits for all the playable characters hanging out in one corner of the room. To switch to a different hero, just walk up and interact with the suit you want to use. Easy peasy!
You'll get a chance to swap characters right before you head out to patrol the city each night. One of the coolest things is that you don't have to grind out experience for each hero separately – all of them level up together. That said, you will need to manually assign skill points whenever you switch characters, as they don't auto-assign. Also, keep in mind that while their levels sync up, their gear doesn't. You might want to craft some decent gear for a new character before diving back into the streets. Oh, and don't forget about Knighthood Challenges – those are separate for each hero, and you'll need to complete them to unlock their unique Knighthood ability tree. It might be worth sticking with one character for a bit to get that tree unlocked first.
