How to Complete the Owl Puzzle

Alright, so you've made your way into this room and noticed that big fake door on the back wall. Cool, right? But it's not just gonna pop open on its own. First things first, head to the back wall and check out that mural – you'll see a door that's clearly not real. Now, let's get this puzzle rolling.

Your next move is to scan the room. Look for a spotlight machine near where you came in; it'll be glowing yellow. Lock onto it with your scanner and power it up. This spotlight will hit some metal shapes, and those shapes will cast shadows onto that mural wall, right where the fake door is. Pretty neat, huh?

Now, here's where it gets a little tricky. The game doesn't exactly tell you what the shadow needs to look like to open the door. You'll probably figure out it's supposed to be an owl, but you need to get it just right – not only clear but also facing the correct way. Look over at the rightmost mural; you'll see some shadowy figures there. Your owl shadow needs to be pointing towards them, so to the right. Once you know that, the rest is pretty straightforward.

There are four parts you can mess with: the claws, the body, the left wing, and the right wing. You can spin each of these pieces left or right by interacting with them. Your goal is to twist all four parts until the shadow looks like a proper owl and is facing to the right. Most of these pieces start out facing left, so you'll likely need to rotate all of them to the right. Don't worry, there's a picture showing exactly how it should look to get that secret door to swing open!
