How to Defeat Man-Bat

Alright, so you've run into Man-Bat in Gotham Knights, huh? He looks pretty menacing, I know, but don't sweat it. Once you figure out his moves, this fight is actually pretty manageable. The main thing to remember is that he's a bit of a damage sponge, so the fight can drag on, giving him more chances to hit you. Just stay focused!

The key to this whole fight, like most in Gotham Knights, is learning his attack patterns. Nail the timing on your dodges, and you can even pull off some sweet counterattacks with a perfect dodge. If you're finding the timing tricky, don't stress too much. Just focus on dodging a little earlier and chipping away at his health whenever you get a safe opening.

Keep an eye out for when his claws or mouth glow with a green mist – that means he's going toxic, and any hits you take will cause damage over time. Nasty stuff!

Man-Bat's Attacks & How to Handle Them

Man-Bat has three main attacks you need to watch out for:

Quick Claw Swipe Combo

This is his go-to move. He'll swipe at you with one claw, then immediately follow up with the other. You'll see his claws glow red right before he swings, so that's your cue to dodge. He usually does about 3 or 4 of these in a row, so keep your finger ready on the dodge button. If you get hit, you'll get knocked down, leaving you wide open for more attacks. Also, try to dodge a bit wider than you think you need to, because his wings can catch you too!

Lunge Attack

For this one, both of his claws will be circled in red. He'll pause for a second or two, then lunge forward to try and grab you. If he connects, he'll knock you down and take a chunk out of your health with a bite. The good news is that red circle is your warning. Just disengage and let him miss. He'll crash to the ground, giving you a great chance to land some heavy hits while he's recovering.

Aerial Spinning Charge Attack

Every so often, Man-Bat will fly off and then come back into the arena with a spinning charge attack. It's pretty easy to spot: he'll pause briefly when he returns, then charge. Just roll to the side to dodge it. While he's flying out of range, he's basically untouchable, which can be a bit annoying. But once he crashes down after the spin, you'll have another opportunity for some easy melee attacks while he's on the ground.
