Complete Half-Life Part 26 walkthrough, including how to defeat the rocket emplacement operator and find C4 satchel bombs.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Detonate a tripmine near the rocket emplacement operator to kill him.
  2. 2
Move along the ledge to his area to find a health pack and his dropped gun.
  3. 3
If the tripmine doesn't kill him, crouch-walk along the ledge until he fires rockets, which will go over your head. Shoot his leg until he dies.
  4. 4
Continue along the ledge to the area where a rail car was stopped by a lowered barrier arm.
  5. 5
Equip the .357 magnum and slowly crouch-walk along the left ledge until you can see and shoot a vortigaunt on the other side of the tracks.
  6. 6
Sneak carefully around a pillar and shoot two more vortigaunts across the tracks.
  7. 7
A nearby vortigaunt is to the right of the last two, but not your next target.
  8. 8
Slowly crouch-strafe left, watching the hallway leading from the main vort area, until one comes after you. Kill it.
  9. 9
Crouch-strafe left again until a second vortigaunt from the hall comes after you.
  10. 10
You should now be able to see and shoot the final vortigaunt in a corner to the right.
  11. 11
Jump across the track and find a first aid station to the left.
  12. 12
Go down the hall to find green crates blocking stairs. Stand back and shoot one of the tripmines past the crates with the pistol.
  13. 13
Jump-crouch onto the single crate and walk across it.
  14. 14
There are two headcrabs in a ceiling area just past the crates, but you likely don't need to worry about them. Toss a hand grenade up there if you want to be sure. (Quicksave first in case the grenade bounces back.)
  15. 15
Crouch-walk up the stairs to avoid being seen.
  16. 16
Bash two crates to get a C4 satchel bomb.
  17. 17
Equip the .357 magnum and crouch-walk carefully to the corner past those crates.
  18. 18
You can likely sneak-shoot both marines in the area ahead, but they will charge you when hit, so finish them quickly.
  19. 19
After they are down, check their room for an HEV station and a large switch on a panel that raises the nearby barrier arm.
  20. 20
Hop onto the nearby railing and carefully crouch-drop to the floor below.
  21. 21
Jump over two tracks and go left to find a new rail car. (If you go back for your old one, a marine will have taken control of this one.)
  22. 22
Ride this car down the track until you encounter another lowered barrier arm. You can abandon the car here and proceed on foot.
  23. 23
To keep the car, get off by moving onto the left ledge and move back along it until you can see three wooden crates stacked on the upper walkway in the big side area.
  24. 24
Use the pistol to shoot the bottom two crates, which will destroy the top crate.
  25. 25
Use the .357 magnum to shoot the three marines that start running around up there. Only shoot when they are briefly standing still to save ammo.
  26. 26
The marines can shoot back and throw grenades, so take them down quickly. Some may hide where you can't shoot them without entering their area.
  27. 27
To take care of the fortified heavy gun on the right side, jump across the track before it splits and move forward around the corner.
  28. 28
Quickly crouch as you run toward the base of the upper floor where the gun emplacement is. Quicksave if you made it uninjured.
  29. 29
Get out hand grenades. Move back a short distance so the gun fires but doesn't hit you.
  30. 30
Toss a grenade over the gun's sandbag wall so it lands behind it, killing the marine at the gun. The gun will stop firing if successful.
  31. 31
Hop across the tracks to climb a short ladder to the upper walkway.
  32. 32
Look along the walkway for a first aid station and dropped guns.
  33. 33
Go to the gun emplacement and use the wall switch next to it.
  34. 34
Return to the rail car and ride until the next rail car elevator.
  35. 35
Stop the car short of the elevator and check the side area for C4 satchel bombs in crates and one underneath the small personnel elevator.
  36. 36
Send the elevator up, drop down to get the satchel, and climb out using the ladder. You can then recall the elevator.
  37. 37
Get into the elevator and ride it up to find yourself next to a large stack of explosive crates.
  38. 38
Get out C4 satchels and toss one through the gap between crates. (Move up to the gap and jump right before tossing.)
  39. 39
Ride the elevator back down, detonate the satchel, then ride the elevator back up.
  40. 40
Pick up the satchel near the elevator.
  41. 41
Look for a dropped weapon next to two crates you can bash for supplies.
  42. 42
Slowly crouch-walk along the rim of the rail car elevator shaft to reach a small red-lit room with two AR grenades.
  43. 43
Look down and across the shaft to see marine legs to shoot. (Use the pistol to save .357 ammo.)
  44. 44
Crouch-walk back across the shaft rim and find the long ladder near the elevator.
  45. 45
Climb down to the bottom to claim the dropped weapon of the marine you shot, then climb to the top to find boxes for ammo.
  46. 46
Climb down the ladder to the floor with the elevator, then carefully strafe off the ladder to land on the floor.
  47. 47
Take the elevator down, get on the rail car, and ride it up.
Tips
  • Use the pistol for weaker enemies like vortigaunts and headcrabs to conserve .357 magnum ammo.
  • Crouch-walking is essential for stealth and avoiding enemy fire.
  • Save your game frequently (Quicksave) before attempting risky maneuvers or engaging tough enemies.
  • Explosives like tripmines and grenades are very effective against groups of enemies and fortified positions.
  • Pay attention to environmental cues, such as the direction enemies are firing, to plan your approach.
