    Bash the wooden crate to clear the path, then climb the ladder to the walkway above.

Tips
  • Armor will take damage from the cold much faster than in the original game; consider running through the freezer area with your assault rifle, dodging enemies and using AR grenades.
  • Alternatively, kill the Vortigaunt in the first freezer room with the crossbow from the doorway, recharge your armor, then perform the AR grenade run-through.
  • You can save the security guard's life by hitting him once with the crowbar before he is shot, but he will not follow you or shoot at assassins, and you will still need to finish him off to get his gun. A crowbar hit will kill him, and he will not drop a gun.
  • Bashing crates can yield an armor battery if needed, though you won't need supplies until after the ambush.
