Complete Part 33 of the Half-Life walkthrough. Learn how to defeat houndeyes, alien grunts, and marines, and navigate laser traps and tripmine-rigged rooms.
Walkthrough:
- Kill all houndeyes, then climb up and enter their room. Jump-crouch onto the metal crate next to the fence. Edge over to the fence and crowbar-bash the red electrical thing with the wire attached. The gate will open soon after.
- Heal up, go through the door to a room with an alien grunt cage. Go around the right side of the cage and crowbar-bash the glass covering a button. Immediately run around the back of the cage to the door on the left. Run through it and down the hallway.
- In the large blue-ish room with the headcrab cage, enter the small control booth. Hit the big button to temporarily close doors and zap headcrabs with a laser. A marine will appear outside the exit. Lure him, then run back into the control booth and hit the button again. Back out of the booth until he sees you, then run forward to the button.
- Stay away from the control booth's door while the laser charges, as the marine may set grenades. After the zap sequence, look for the marine's dropped assault rifle. Past the laser room, find a first aid station, then a security guard. Wait for him to finish talking, then have him follow you to the next section (c2a4e).
- Section c2a4e: LOBBY COMBAT, BLUE LASER ROOM #2, AND TRIPMINED COMPUTER ROOM
- Round a couple of corners into a large lobby with two marines ahead. Quicksave. Launch an AR grenade at them, aiming to kill both. They run when you launch it, so you may need to quickrestore and try again.
- Move into the lobby, looking right. If marines are on the upper walkway, shoot them with the .357. Hang back so they come down the side hallway, then take them down. Get your assault rifle, cross the lobby, go down the side hallway, and along the walkway to ensure all are dead.
- NOTES: After marines attack, you can run back to the previous section's loading point, turn around, and return to
