Guide to Outward's Heroic Peacemaker quest. Learn how to convince Yzan and Cyrene, navigate Levant's lockdown, and defend Monsoon from Scourge beasts.
Walkthrough
- 1After 3 days, speak with Queen Calixa in the Heroes’ Palace of Levant.
- 2Stock up on supplies (potions, food, clean water) and ensure you have a Tripwire Trap, Iron Spikes, or a full Waterskin. Levant will be inaccessible after you leave.
- 3Travel to the Abandoned Docks in northern Abrassar. Head northwest from Levant, past the Walled Garden, cross a wooden bridge, follow the cliff edge west, and descend via a wooden platform.
- 4Enter the Dock’s Storage and speak with Yzan.
- 5Convince Yzan to abandon his coup plans using the following dialogue options: “They could have done more if they weren’t forced to pour so many resources and people into this losing war!”, “You left Cierzo because of how they forced Roland’s problems onto you. You’re doing that same exact thing to Levant right now!”, “Yzan, Levant is barely surviving. One more crisis will kill us all. Is this war more important than our survival?”, and “You could just play it like you were a double agent. You’re good at that.”
- 6If you fail to convince Yzan, you will have to fight him. The reward for fighting him is the two-handed sword ‘Royal Great-Khopesh’ (42 physical damage, 43 impact, 1.0 attack speed, inflicts Pain debuff).
- 7After convincing Yzan, kill two bandits with him.
- 8Speak to Yzan again. He will ask you to warn Queen Calixa of a threat.
- 9Return to Levant. Enter through the slums entrance by going south from the main gate and following the walls east until you reach a wooden structure.
- 10You have 10 days from your encounter with Yzan to enter the throne room in Levant.
- 11At the slums entrance, speak with Markus. If you defeated him during the Sand Corsairs quest, he will let you pass. Otherwise, you must defeat a unique bandit in Sand Rose Cave.
- 12To find Sand Rose Cave, head directly south from Markus. Enter the cave through a wooden door at the center of the crater.
- 13Inside Sand Rose Cave, go down the stairs, turn right, and follow the path. In the first room, you can fight or sneak past bandits. Turn left up the slope westward, then right down the slope to the north. Defeat the unique bandit with white hair (avoid her shield charges).
- 14Return to Markus at the slums entrance.
- 15Once inside Levant, head north, then west until you find Pigeoneye beside a house.
- 16Give Pigeoneye a Tripwire Trap or Iron Spikes to deal with guards. If you did not complete Mouths to Feed in time to save the slums' people, Pigeoneye will be dead, and you must give a Waterskin to the guards instead.
- 17Head west from Pigeoneye, take the first left, and enter the Undercity Passage.
- 18Go down the stairs, then through the hallway east to find Dawne.
- 19If you defeated Zagis during Sand Corsairs, you must defeat Dawne for the Palace Passage Key. If you spared Zagis and paid Dawne 50 silver beforehand, she will let you pass for free. Otherwise, pay her 50 silver.
- 20Proceed through the secret passage to Heroes’ Palace.
- 21Head north to the throne room and speak with Yzan. If you failed to convince Yzan, you will fight both him and Cyrene. Separate them and use swift attacks and dodges.
- 22If you arrive at the throne room after 10 days, you will fail this section of the quest.
- 23After defeating Cyrene (and Yzan if necessary), speak with Simeon.
- 24Choose to join Simeon's convoy to Monsoon or travel there yourself. Looting Cyrene's body is possible if you travel yourself.
- 25In Monsoon, head north to Elatt’s Temple.
- 26Speak with the nobles and Elatt.
- 27Drink the Peacemaker Elixir before defending the streets of Monsoon from Scourge beasts. This grants a permanent +20 boost to Health, Stamina, and Mana.
- 28Focus on defeating the Immaculates, especially the Butcher of Men (found southwest of Elatt's temple). Use allies like Sagard Battleborn for assistance.
- 29Loot the Butcher of Men after the fight.
- 30Speak with King Simeon to receive further rewards and complete the quest.
