Accept the 'Surveillance Disruption' side-mission from the hunting shack in the southern part of the valley. You will be tasked with locating and destroying four drones.

Shoot down the first drone, located just north of the quest giver.

Locate and destroy the second drone near the cliff wall to the east of the southern guard tower and the hunting shack. Be cautious of the leopard in this area.

Find and destroy the third and fourth drones flying near the treetops outside the two caves on the western side of the valley.

Once all four drones are shot down, return to the Remnant village and hand in the 'Defensive Strategy' side-mission.

Navigate back through the village to a ruin on the left. Look down from the cliff top between this building and the house to the south to find a ledge below with a Survival Cache. Use the climbable wall to return to the valley floor.

Return to the 'Surveillance Disruption' quest giver and hand in the completed quest.

Leave the immediate area and return to speak with the ally by the hunting shack again to receive the next side-mission, 'A Hearty Meal'.

Tips

Drones can be destroyed with any weapon.
Locate drones by moving to the green pulses on the map and scanning the air.
The area near the second drone is inhabited by a leopard; use Poison Arrows or heavier weapons if it attacks.
Be aware of collectible locations while completing the mission: Coin Cache [03/09] at the base of the wall near the second drone, Hanging Rabbit [Hung out to Dry 05/06] at the top of the westernmost hunting platform, and Survival Cache [08/20] near rocky formations west of the hunting shack.
A previously looted Survival Cache can be found on a ledge below a ruin on the left side of the village after completing the drone objective.
