Side-Quest 01

From the starting area, loot the wooden silo platform for two boxes of Salvage and a crate of reagents. Inside the silo, find a barrel of reagents. Near the zip line, loot a bird's nest for Feathers.

Ride the zip line down into a fenced area. Examine the crate of Salvage by the building to the left.

Inside the building, find a Document [07/26 - Russian].

Exit the building and head east to a large saw mill with a truck. Loot the crate of Salvage to the truck's left.

Climb the ladder to the right of the truck to find the first Communications Repeater [01/05]. Destroy it.

Explore the saw mill. Be cautious of a pack of wolves to the east.

On the southeastern side of the saw mill, climb onto the low, slanted roof. Find a Mural [05/11 – Russian] on the wall.

From the rooftop, sprint and jump to a hanging ladder. At the top, loot two bird's nests for Feathers and a Strongbox [02/14 - Weapon Part: Compound Bow Part 01].

Drop to the middle level of the saw mill. Loot the pair of Salvage crates.

In the northernmost outdoor portion of this level, find a chest containing Relic [02/18 – Family Photo]. Examine the back for a boost to Russian proficiency.

North of the saw mill, cross the frozen river using the log bridge. Enter the gate and destroy the second Communications Repeater [02/05].

Climb the guard tower to find a chest with Relic [03/18 – Wish Maker Toy].

Inside the larger building, find ammo, a Salvage crate, and a Strongbox [03/14 - Weapon Part: Semi-Auto Pistol Part 03]. Note the blocked cave requiring Explosives.

Return to the saw mill area. Directly east, find a cave beneath a large rock structure. Enter cautiously. Clear the two wolves inside.

Explore the cave to find Mushrooms, two veins of Magnesite Ore, and an Archivist map.

Exit the cave and find the ice wall. Climb the rocky structure to the very top, looting bird's nests for Feathers. At the top, find the third Communications Repeater [03/05]. Sabotage it.

Use the zip line to descend to a platform with a Salvage crate. Loot it and drop to the ground.

At the eastern base of the rocky structure with the wooden hunting platform, find Survival Cache [05/21].

Orient towards the objective marker. To its right, climb a platform to find the fourth Communications Repeater [04/05]. Disrupt it.

Scramble up the nearby wooden wall and jump to another platform to find a Salvage crate.

Return to the objective marker and climb the wall to the north. At the top, find the 'Sheltered Ridge' Base Camp, two Salvage Crates, and the fifth Communications Repeater [05/05]. Destroy it.

If all five Repeaters are destroyed, fast travel back to the 'Logging Camp' Base Camp to speak with the mission giver.

You will earn the Lockpick item.

Use the Lockpick to open the Strongbox by the fire for [04/14 - Weapon Part: Semi-Auto Pistol Part 04].

Proceed to the optional Challenge Tomb.
