- Follow the footsteps to find numbers on license plates and a vent: '2' on a license plate, '3' near the vent, '4' on a machine, and '5' on a corner.

- Enter the code '22345' into the door in the hallway.

- Push a movable box under the vent to the left. Use the Quarter Dollar to loosen the screws and enter the vent.
- Mash the 'X' button to crawl through the vents. You will fall and trigger a scene.
- After the scene, you will be in the dayroom. Defeat one Juggernaut and two minion enemies.
- Head west to a control panel near some columns. Use your access card to open doors.
- Go to the catwalk and enter the room on the left.
- Find [SHOTGUN SHELLS] by the door, then grab the [INNOCENT MAN] note from a table. (Picking this up may award the 'Silent Hill Historic Society' silver trophy).
- Grab the [QUESTIONABLE BEHAVIOR] note near the lockers and a [FIRST AID KIT] from a cabinet.
- Go through the left door (by the radio) and head downstairs to find a double-headed axe and [SHOTGUN SHELLS] in a locker.
- Head back up and take the other stairs down. Defeat the Juggernaut to the north.
- Continue to the showers. Examine crime scenes: Crime Scene 1 (left), Crime Scene 2 (right, find [PRISON SHANK]), Crime Scene 3 (ahead right, find [MOURNING BADGE]), and Crime Scene 4 (locker behind Crime Scene 3, find [CRIME EVIDENCE]).
- After finding all items, a voice will be heard, and things will start turning on. Head for the showers exit.
- Exit the room and approach the body to trigger another scene.
- As the world transforms into the otherworld with the Void present, this section ends.
- Run ahead into a room with a three-way split. Two doors will randomly close. You will end up going left or right.
- Further on, time your movement to pass through guillotine-like gates as they lift to avoid damage and the Void catching up.
