Spectre Divide does not feature traditional cover mechanics in the way many other games do. Instead, the game emphasizes ship positioning, environmental interaction, and the unique abilities of various ship classes to achieve defensive and offensive advantages. While there isn't a dedicated 'cover' button, players can utilize environmental objects like asteroids, nebulae, and derelict structures for temporary concealment and to break line of sight.

Key Concepts for Defensive Play:

• Environmental Cover: Utilize large asteroids, debris fields, and planetary structures to block enemy fire and mask your ship's position. Moving behind these objects can interrupt targeting locks and provide a brief respite.
• Line of Sight: Mastering line of sight is crucial. By positioning your ship behind obstacles, you can prevent enemies from targeting you, allowing you to reposition or prepare an attack.
