Woodley Village offers several points of interest before you continue your search for Lutie. Similar to Triom Village, you'll find a Book Store, an Item Shop, and a Weapon Shop. Details on their inventory and Shop Orders can be found in the Shops section. A southwest Inn allows you to rest and save your game.

Pickpocket For Profit, But At Your Peril

The Skill Manual Pickpocketing, sold at Three Leaf Books, teaches Edge this skill. Combined with the Bandit's Gloves from the Weapon Shop, Edge can steal items from NPCs, pets, and even party members. While most targets yield common items, some possess accessories or items usually obtainable later. To attempt a pickpocket, approach a target and press the specified button. Success varies based on the target's resistance, and repeated attempts may be necessary. Once an item is stolen, it cannot be acquired again from the same target. Be aware that party members may witness your thievery, potentially leading to affinity loss and jeopardizing character endings, though you won't be explicitly notified if caught.

Before you can trade at the General Store, you must complete the proprietor's The Little Lost Girl Quest. Upon returning the _Foolhardy Girl_ to the shop, she initiates The Curious Kitty Quest, which can be completed in the next area. The General Store stocks a variety of ingredients, including new ones required for Shop Orders, such as Sharkskin and Special Warishita Sauce.

Consider purchasing the Torch Bow and Flame Wand from the Weapon Shop. The Torch Bow, while less powerful than the Hunting Bow, imbues attacks with fire, effective against local enemies who are not fire-resistant and some who are weak to it.

Several Treasure Chests are scattered throughout the village. Two are located inside the Inn and the Weapon Shop, respectively. The chest outside the Inn contains a Curing Sheet, a Ship Furnishing. Place it on an M-Sized glowing square near the Save Point in the Recreation Room to purify status ailments by stepping on it. The Accommodating Woman south of the village entrance will give you Hot Chocolate x1.

The Village Weather Forecaster near the west exit can direct you to Lutea's house. Inside, in the left room, examine the barrel in the corner for Weapon Data 119: Oracle's Staff. Speaking with Lutea triggers a scene where she gives you a Symbol Stone x1 to secure the source of the Bacculus.

The party plans to return to Triom Village to consult Ghimdo. The path through the Citadel is currently blocked. The Village Weather Forecaster suggests taking the Silent Forest route to the south. To navigate the forest's disorienting illusions, you'll need a Faerie Orchid, found on the shore of Lake Aegis. Exit Woodley Village via the west exit to reach the Van Elm Region.
